Man o man it is finally NFL Sunday. Thursday was a nice treat, but now we got a full slate of games going on today and I couldn’t be more hyped. If this is your first time reading my blogs, I give my takes on every game and tell you who’s going to cover the spread. With that out of the way, lets get into the blog.
2018 Record: 1-0
2018 Spread Record: 1-0
Tennessee Titans (-1.0) V. Miami Dolphins
With the first game of Sunday we got the Titans going to Miami and taking on the Dolphins. With Tennessee you saw them add some nice pieces to the team like RB Dion Lewis and CB Malcolm Butler. But with the Dolphins, you saw them trade their best all around player, WR Jarvis Laundry. I think the Titans will win and cover the spread.
Cincinnati Bengals V. Indianapolis Colts (-2.0)
Now onto the Bengals going to Indianapolis to take on the Colts. The Colts now have their star QB Andrew Luck back, who missed all of the 2017 season due to injury. I think the Colts will be a much better team this season with Luck playing, and with the Colts drafting guard Quenton Nelson it adds a little protection for Luck this season. I have the Colts winning and covering the spread.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers V. New Orleans Saints (-10)
The Buccs will head to New Orleans to play their division rivals, the Saints. Now the Buccaneers will have QB Jameis Winston out for 4 weeks since hes a scumbag so Ryan Fitzpatrick will be the starting today, and of course that isn’t good. So I think the Saints will dominate the Buccs. The Saints will beat the Buccs and cover the spread. 10 points is a lot, but I think the Saints will do it.
Buffalo Bills V. Baltimore Ravens (-7.5)
The Bills are going down to Baltimore to take on the Ravens and I have some stuff to say about the Bills. The Bills drafted Josh Allen #7 and with the A.J. McCarron getting hurt and traded, you expect Josh Allen to start. But for some reason, the Bills think Nathan Peterman is the best option for them to win. I say the Ravens are going to win, but the Ravens don’t have a good enough offense for them to cover this spread, so the Bills are going to cover.
Houston Texans V. New England Patriots (-6.0)
Now onto one of the saddest match ups of the day. All time, the Texans are 1-9 against the Patriots, so you can really tell how this game will go. But, the Texans do have QB Deshaun Watson and DE J.J. Watt returning this week so it could be an interesting game. I say the Patriots will win the game, but with the Texans having one of the best defenses in the league, I say the Texans will cover the spread.
Pittsburgh Steelers (-3.5) V. Cleveland Browns
The Le’Veon Bell-lees Steelers travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns. After an awesome Hard Knocks, featuring the Browns, the Browns look to be a fan favorite for most people. But with the Steelers, it really sucks that Le’Veon wont be playing, but I still expect the Steelers offense to dominate. I say the Steelers will win and cover the spread.
Jacksonville Jaguars (-3) V. New York Giants
If you want my full recap, click here to see my thoughts. But I think the Jaguars will win and cover the spread.
San Francisco 49ers V. Minnesota Vikings (-6.0)
With the final games of the 1:00 games, we have the Niners going to Minnesota to take on the Vikings. With the Vikings, we have Kirk Cousins making his first start as a Viking so it will be interesting to see how he plays. But, with the Niners, I don’t think they are a very good team right now. I think they got lucky with their schedule at the end of the year either versing really bad teams or teams already in the playoffs. I say Kirk Cousins and the Vikings win and cover the spread.
That was the final game of the 1:00 games. The 4:00 game will come out around 2:30-3:30, so to make sure you see when that is posted, follow me on Twitter at
