2019 MLB Offseason Breakdown: Texas Rangers

Here is my MLB 2019 Offseason Breakdown Blog. This time it is on the Texas Rangers and I will talk about who the Rangers acquired and lost, their starting lineup and pitching rotation and my prediction for them this season. Let’s get into the blog.

Offseason Acquisitions and Loses:
Lance Lynn signs a 3 year $30 million contract

PU. What a terrible contract this is. Lynn is such a bad player, but then again, so are the Rangers.

Starting Lineup:
C: Isiah Kiner-Falefa
1B: Ronald Guzman
2B: Roughned Odor
3B: Asdrubal Cabrera
SS: Elvis Andrus
LF: Joey Gallo
CF: Delino DeShields
RF: Nomar Mazara
DH: Shin-Soo Choo

Starting Rotation:
1. Mike Minor
2. Edinson Vólquez
3. Lance Lynn
4. Drew Smyly
5. Shelby Miller

Offseason Grade: F

The Rangers are going nowhere this season and they should just blow up the rest of the roster. Get Odor and Andrus out of there and get some prospects for the team. They will finish 5th in the AL West so there is no reason to waste those talents.
